Social Fabric is a project based Zurich, that supports the use of ecologically friendly and ethically produced clothing. Social Fabric works together with refugees locally; we are piloting a project to provide internships to refugees, and our interns will receive training in job skills and entrepreneurship. We hope to develop this into a bigger program that will provide refugees with the skills and experience to start their own businesses in Switzerland or in their home countries.
As part of this project, we design clothing and other textile items together with refugees. By purchasing our products, you are also supporting our project. In addition, depending on their permit status, the designer will receive 20% of the proceeds of the sale, or the 20% will be donated to a non-profit organisation of their choice.
All of our t-shirts are purchased from Freeset, an organization in Calcutta, India that provides job re-training and employment to former prostitutes. T-shirt are made from GOTS certified organic cotton.
